Check the reference of the machining coordinates before starting the process.
2D cutting plotters need a reference on the material that has to be cut. A point laser with a known, fix offset to the cutting tool helps you to check if the material you want to cut is placed correctly respectively if the cutting head starts at the right position.
Application examples
Waterjet cutting
Before starting the cutting process, a laser spot shows the point of origin for the waterjet nozzle. You get a final visual check of the correct position of head and material.
Cutting plotters
A laser spot with a certain offset to the cutting blade is used for reference. After the visual check, the cutting process starts, taking into account the previously defined offset.
