Governance

Governance

We have established management and control processes to ensure long-term and trusting relationships with LAP’s stakeholders.

LAP is committed to ethical conduct and legal compliance. Our actions are guided by a comprehensive Code of Conduct.
Regular compliance training sessions and internal audits, supported by a reliable whistleblowing system, help to ensure compliance and foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
Our sustainability board, together with specialized officers, ensure the effective management of ESG-related risks, while a Business Continuity Management framework safeguards operations in critical situations. These governance measures promote transparency, sustainability, and resilience, ensuring responsible business practices at every level.

Protecting trade secrets and confidentiality

Safeguarding trade secrets and confidential information is essential to LAP. Our employees are obligated in writing to confidentiality. In addition, we maintain a formalized protection framework designed to safeguard the proprietary information belonging to both LAP and our business partners.

Data protection

LAP is committed to full compliance with all applicable  data protection and privacy laws and regulations. The principles guiding our approach are outlined in the LAP Privacy Policy.
A designated data protection officer continuously advises and supports company management in all privacy-related matters.
You can contact our data protection officer at  datenschutz@lap-laser.com or via our postal address, specifically addressed to “The Data Protection Officer.”

Sustainability board

Our Sustainability Board unites senior leaders from key ESG-related functions, including Quality & Regulatory, Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, Customs & Export Controls, and IT. Chaired by LAP´s internal Compliance Officer, this cross-functional team meets regularly to address sustainability topics and provides strategic guidance to LAP´s executive management board.

By combining a wide range of perspectives and expertise, the Sustainability Board plays a central role in embedding environmental, social, and governance principles into our decision-making processes and long-term business strategy.

Business continuity management

LAP implements a comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) system designed to  ensure the continuity and resilience of  our business operations – even in the face of significant risks and potential disruptions.

The primary objective of our BCM is to safeguard the ongoing functionality of critical processes and to minimize the impact of events that could cause substantial harm.

To achieve this, the BCM framework includes regular review of the BCM program, including risk assessment based on a risk matrix and risk analysis conducted by LAP management.

Governance and compliance training

We conduct regular training sessions  on anti-corruption, anti-bribery and antitrust laws and regulations to raise employee awareness and provide clear guidance on how to avoid improper practices. In addition, our employees receive regular training on the responsible handling of personal data.

To strengthen our resilience against digital threats, we also provide mandatory cyber awareness training. These sessions help employees recognize typical cybersecurity risks - such as phishing, social engineering, and data breaches—and offer practical strategies to safeguard sensitive information and IT systems.

Governance and compliance audits

All LAP entities are subject to  regular compliance audits. These audits help identify and correct  any misconduct at an early stage. We also use the insights gainded to enhance our processes and prevent similar issues in the future.
